The energy transition is fundamentally changing the demand for electricity. Sustainable energy sources, heat pumps, charging stations, and electrically driven systems are appearing everywhere. Our Advantages

Fire Safety

In terms of fire safety, our big cross-sections installation cables are available in fire classes Dca, Cca, and B2ca, with B2ca being the highest classification. The Cca and B2ca cables are also Low Fire Hazard (halogen-free), meaning they release significantly less smoke and toxic gases in the event of a fire. This makes them particularly suitable for installations in environments where safety and health are of great importance.

Flexibility

Our big cross-sections bend with you! Nexans installation cables up to 25 mm² feature standard stranded conductors. From 35 mm² upwards, we use special FLEX conductors, which are easier to bend. For maximum flexibility, a range of ULTRAFLEX cables is also available with class 5 conductors, consisting of a large number of extremely thin wires. Examples include the YMvK ss ULTRAFLEX cables, which are especially suitable for applications requiring a high degree of flexibility.

Sustainable

All our big cross-sections are provided with an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration). In this area, Nexans is a leader in the cable industry! The PEP EcoPassport provides insights into the global impact of the entire product lifecycle and allows you, as an installer, to choose the right cable cross-section based on environmental impact.
