Construction of health care center Breede Vliet

In Hoogvliet-Rotterdam, a new modern nursing home was built with small-scale residential care groups, a pleasant home for 180 elderly people who require loving and expert care and support. 

A&B Electrotechniek carried out the entire electrical engineering installation for this project. For the installer from Zuid-Beijerland this was the biggest project so far!

The following starting points were applied to the design: a homely and safe environment in a small-scale living environment, reversible building, healing environment, application of care innovations and attention to sustainability. This also creates challenges in the field of electrical installation.

Low smoke zero halogen installation cables

The project included the use of ALSECURE® YMz1K Cca and  ALSECURE® YMz1K ss Cca cables from Nexans. In a healthcare complex, these halogen-free and low-smoke cables provide a safer escape route in the event of a fire and the cables will not spread the fire further. 

The cables were supplied by Rexel Nederland, the distribution partner of A&B Electrotechniek, which also supplied the other electrotechnical materials.
