Nexans LANactive memory cards allow an easy and fast exchange of LANactive devices. The memory cards save the running firmware and configuration of the switch and transfer them to the replacement device in case of an device failure. The easy exchange of the memory card works without any problems and allow the quick replacemnt of hardware even without IT skilled people who must configure and upgrade the device firmware.
The memory cards have an own MAC address that is taken over by the switch. In case of a replacment of a switch the new switch will take also the MAC address from the memory card what means that no changes in the network security rules must be done.
The memory cards are available in microSD fromat for LANactive FTTO switches and in SD format for LANactive Industrial and DICE switches.
