300/500V multi core fire resistant cables, with low emission of smoke and corrosive gases when affected by fire. For use in emergency lighting, fire detection and fire alarm system circuits, following BS 52266-1 and BS 5839-1.

Beschrijving

NX200 is a fire-safety cable according to BS 7629-1 with exceptional user-friendliness. Ideal for fire detection and fire alarm critical signal path in BS 5839-1:2002 "standard" application areas, voice alarm systems according to BS 5839-8:2008 and emergency lighting systems to BS 5266-1:2005.

NX200 Features:

  • easy to strip without special tools, and without damage to the insulation
  • high tensile strength during installation and pulling operations
  • 120 min “circuit integrity” during fire and minimal fire propagation – PH120
  • BASEC and LPCB approved
  • London Underground approved to standard LUL 1-085A3

 

Application

Safety cables for equipment components in:

  • buildings
  • tunnels 
  • technical equipment rooms, etc.

NX200 is suitable for use where the following are required under the UK current building regulations:

  • defined fire behaviour in the case of fire
  • low smoke emission 
  • zero halogen content.
     

Construction

  • Conductor: bare copper class 1 or 2 (4 mm2) according to EN 60228
  • Insulation: silicone compound EI2 according to EN 50363-1
  • Tinned copper earth wire class 1 or 2 (4 mm2)
  • Screen: aluminium tape
  • Sheath: HFFR compound LTS3 according to BS 7655-6.1

  • BS 6387 CWZ

The cables can be installed fixed direct to the wall, in cable trays, conduits, or direct buried in plaster. In case the cable is fixed direct to the wall LSZH covered metal clips have to be used. Plastic clips must not be used.
