72 connector optical cable head TDCOB 72 is used in optical main distribution frames in 19” racks and frames or ETS (S9) structures, using the frame mounting device, for the termination of line or equipment cables.

    Function :

    There are two cable head versions :

    • TDCOB 72 L is used to connect 72 fibres (jumper type) derived from one or more equipment.
    • TDCOB 72 E is used to connect 72 fibres derived from one or more cables (tubes, slotted core or ribbon) on the connectors through splices placed in cassettes (use of pigtails). Excess lengths of fibres between the cassettes and the connectors are stored on a storage plate.

      TDCOB 72 E

      Description

      TDCOB 72 E 4U differs only in terms of the rear part of the part of the movable chassis which consists of a swivel-type assembly comprising :

      Front part :
    • A front panel with identifictation of the connectors,
    • A channel to guide and secure the jumpers,
    • A front flap which protects the jumpers and with identification of the links.

      Rear part :

    • A surface for storing excess lengths of fibre,
    • 2 organisers each made up of 3 cassettes for 12 splices each.
    • Secured TDCOB 72 E has a lock that prevents access to the rear part.

      A complementary set of accessories (to be ordered separately) can be used to obtain various configurations.

      TDCOB 72 L

      Description

      TDCOB 72 L consists of a 4U metal structure which is fixed to the uprights of the racks or frames. Its supports a swivelling chassis on which the following items are mounted :

      Front part :
    • A front panel with identification of the connectors,
    • A channel to guide and secure the jumpers,
    • A front flap which protects the jumpers and identification of the links.

       

      Rear part :

      (to be accessed by simply swiveling the chassis),

    • A swiveling assembly consisting of 6 cassettes for storing excess fibre lengths.

      Wires enter the cable head through the rear of the structure. Jumpering is accomplished on the front panel with the jumpers being released from the left of the cable head. A complementary set of accessories can be used to obtain various configurations.
