The improved cable design of Nexans 2009 NEK 606 version withstands fire temperature of 830°C for 120 minutes, compared with 750° for 90 minutes for the previous design. In addition, to take into account real fire conditions, our new cables are able to pass fire tests with shocks, which is a thrue performance enhancement compared to the previous version. During a fire, shocks are inevitable and cables fire performances could be reduced if not correctly designed for this scoope.
