Metal dome closure for Optical Ground Wires

• Up to 48 splices (4 trays) or 72 splices (1 FiberArt),
• 3 Cable ports,
• Aluminum dome and base,
• Universal cable clamp,
• Mechanical sealing system.

The main functions are :

• Storage, identification and protection of splices and bare fibres from the environment and unwanted handlers.
• Clamping and fan-out of OPGW and dielectric cables.

Construction

Body :

• Both closure base and dome are in aluminium.

Sealing system :

• Fully mechanical modular sealing system,
• The dome is sealed with a gasket. A locking system is integrated on two sides of the dome,
• The body and the sealing system are watertight (IP66).

Cable capacity :

• 2 OPGW cable port + 1 port for branching cables. Unused port are presealed.

Fiber management :

• Up to 4 x 12-splicestrays (or 1 FiberArt module integrating 12 x 6-splices- trays).
• The trays have stackable hinges.

Cable anchoring :

• OPGW Cables are anchored with universal cable clamps, suitable for cable diameters from 7.5 to 25mm,
• Dielectric cables can be anchored with a metal ring. Up to 3 cables/tubes per port are allowed.
