Construction
Conductor:
circular conductors made of stranded copper or of aluminium solid conductor - Optionally, aluminium conductors are also available in stranded version, for greater flexibility.
Conductor Screen:
conductor screen of semiconductive compound of at least 0,5 mm thickness
Insulation:
high quality cross-linked polyethylen (XLPE)
Insulation Screen:
extruded semi-conductive compound. This layer is covered by a bedding of semiconducting swelling tape to ensure longitudinal watertightness.
Earthing Screen:
screen of copper wires and copper tape.
Option 1: longitudinally and quasi transversally watertight design, swelling tape is applied on top of the earthing screen. (lqwd)
Option 2: transversally and longitudinally watertight design the earthing screen is covered with a swelling tape helix and afterwards covered with an aluminium foil. (dlwd)
Outer Sheath:
PE sheath (ST7).
